Program Planning Framework
This section sets forth an outline of the program’s curriculum and proposed content, including topics and methods of instruction. It describes the proposed primary and secondary audiences and the methods for assessing the former’s knowledge, behaviors, attitudes (KBA’s), and needs from a holistic perspective.
In addition to stating the mission, SMART behavioral, social, organizational, and communication goals and objectives, it presents culturally competent strategies for program preparation, desired outcomes for participants, partners, and stakeholders, and learning objectives for healthcare staff.
Finally, it proposes and describes the use of three health behavior models (Stages of Change, the Health Belief Model (HBM), and the Diffusion of Innovations Theory) and adherence strategies.
